Elizabeth Hurley has been working with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation for years, but she explains why the fight can’t stop.
“It remains vital to continue to raise funds and continue to educate people and tell them about the progress we’ve made and where we still need more help,” she told Access Hollywood at the Breast Cancer Research Foundation’s Hot Pink Party red carpet.
“Every year, I met someone who knows someone who’s been diagnosed with breast cancer. Sometimes I feel that every day somebody tells me,” she said. “Every single one is deeply moving and worrying, and we’re just longing for a day where we don’t hear those stories anymore,” she added.
Elizabeth hosted the Breast Cancer Research Foundation’s Hot Pink Party, where they presented Tatiana and Peter Cancro, Founder and CEO of Jersey Mike’s Subs, with the Evelyn H. Lauder Spirit of Philanthropy Award after they raised $4.4 million for Breast Cancer Foundation Research in September 2024.
The evening also featured a special performance by Sting.
