Adrien Brody got a surprise on the 2025 Oscars red carpet.
“The Brutalist” star and Georgina Chapman were speaking with Access Hollywood’s Mario Lopez and Kit Hoover at the 2025 Oscars, when Halle Berry crashed his interview.
During a shocking moment, Halle gave him a kiss on the red carpet, 22 years after their controversial Oscars liplock.
“I had to do that, I had to pay him back,” Halle said to Georgina.
She also clarified that she had Georgina’s permission for the smooch.
“Only because Georgina said I could,” she said right before Adrien gave Georgina a smooch.
The kiss on the red carpet comes 22 years after Adrien kissed Halle onstage at the Academy Awards in 2003 after he won Best Actor for “The Pianist.”
The kiss sparked controversy, with some critics noting there was an apparent lack of consent.
