Pink returned to the tennis court this week to host the 21st annual Desert Smash, a charity celebrity tennis event!
Before showing off her skills in a doubles match with tennis star Alexander Zverev, the pop star exclusively chatted with Access Hollywood’s Scott Evans about what makes the annual La Quinta, Calif., event – which brings together people from the worlds of tennis, entertainment and beyond – so special.
“I think it’s fun for every person, no matter what you’re doing here – whether you’re spectating, playing, or if you’re a celebrity and you get to hang out with all your tennis gods and goddesses,” she shared. “I imagine today is kind of fun for the tennis pros, cause it’s kind of a silly day. It also happens to be raising a lot of money for fantastic causes.”

Over the past two decades, Desert Smash has raised millions for many charitable causes. Proceeds from this year’s event going towards The WTA Foundation’s Global Women’s Health Fund in support of UNICEF.
“I love when you can take your passions – your personal passions or your professional passions – and match them with having it mean something for other people’s lives forever,” Pink – who bas been a UNICEF ambassador for more than a decade – told Scott.
