Pete Davidson is so excited for fans to see his new film.
“The Home” star and director James DeMonaco spoke with Access Hollywood at the premiere of the film, and they shared about working on the project.
James raved over casting Pete in the film.
“I just knew it. I knew him when he was 14, 15. I knew that he wasn’t just, you know funny ‘SNL’ guy,” James said. “… We just hit it off. We stayed friends. … I knew he could do it, I just knew it. And he proved everybody right. He proved me right.”
Pete, who is expecting his first child with Elsie Hewitt, also talked about fatherhood.
“Now nothing else really matters, which is nice. All that matters is this little, beautiful angel that we’re gonna raise together. And I’m just so excited,” he said. “This is just a job and you know when we got the news, it was very … obvious to me what actually matters. And it’s nice to you know be able to give all this love to, you know, a little baby.”
He also had loving things to say about Elsie.
“She’s wonderful, very lucky it’s her. And she’s really excited and gonna be a great mom,” he said.
“The Home” is in theaters July 25.
