Brad Pitt is breaking his silence about finalizing his divorce from ex-wife Angelina Jolie following an eight-year legal battle. Speaking with GQ in a piece published May 28, the actor was asked if he feels relieved or different with his divorce finally processed. “No, I don’t think it was that major of a thing. Just something coming to fruition. Legally,” the Oscar-winner responded. Pitt and Jolie, who share six children together, reached a settlement in December of 2024, a lawyer for the actress confirmed to NBC News at the time. “More than eight years ago, Angelina filed for divorce from Mr. Pitt. She and the children left all of the properties they had shared with Mr. Pitt, and since that time she has focused on finding peace and healing for their family. This is just one part of a long ongoing process that started eight years ago. Frankly, Angelina is exhausted, but she is relieved this one part is over,” her attorney, James Simon, added. Meanwhile, Pitt’s legal team declined to comment at the time, per NBC News.
