Jack Schlossberg Blasts Ryan Murphy For Claiming He Doesn’t Remember Late Uncle JFK Jr.

Jack Schlossberg is setting the record straight on his childhood memories. John F. Kennedy Jr.’s nephew, 32, didn’t hold back when calling out Ryan Murphy over the producer’s recent claim that Jack doesn’t remember his late uncle, who died when Jack was 6 years old. Murphy’s comment came as he discussed the backlash over his upcoming “American Love Story” series that focuses on JFK Jr. and wife Carolyn Bessette. The couple, along with Carolyn’s sister, Lauren, were killed in a 1999 plane crash and Jack has previously blasted the production for what he considers to be a “grotesque way” to profit off of a family tragedy. Murphy defended “American Love Story” during an appearance on California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s podcast and seemed to reference Jack’s criticism specifically, saying it left him confused. “I thought it was an odd choice to be mad about your relative that you really don’t remember,” Murphy explained, noting that he did take note of other backlash across social media regarding the show’s costuming and other aesthetic details. Jack responded to Murphy in a scathing Instagram post on July 23, challenging the TV titan to “say it to my face” and insisting that he does in fact recall important milestones from his short time with JFK Jr. “My earliest memories are of John calling me Jackolatern and ‘the nudist,’ picking me up from school, his Pontiac convertible,” Jack wrote. “I remember being the ring bearer at his wedding and the day he died. I remember Wyclef singing at his funeral. … You’re making millions off John, making a public spectacle of it but won’t contribute any of your riches to the causes he championed, or the legacy of public service he represented.”
