Miley Cyrus Recalls ‘Excruciating’ Medical Emergency During 2023 New Year’s Eve Performance
Miley Cyrus is recalling a “pretty traumatic” medical emergency. The singer shared on the May 21 episode of the “Zane Lowe Interview” that she experienced an ovarian cyst rupture while performing alongside her godmother Dolly Parton during the 2023 NBC special, “Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party.” “I had an ovarian cyst rupture, which we didn’t know exactly what was going on. So, we did it, but it was pretty traumatic because it was extremely excruciating. And I did the show anyways,” she revealed, adding, “But, you know, it was really, really hard on me. And I had dinner with Lorne [Michaels] and, you know, he said something that now it’s stuck with me. He goes, ‘Six months. Everybody has six months to feel sorry for themselves. And then we start to rebuild.'”
