Sheinelle Jones Reveals Late Husband Uche Read Her Book Before Passing

Access Hollywood correspondent Emily Orozco spoke to Sheinelle Jones at her book launch in New York on Wednesday. The “Today” host shared that both her late husband Uche and her late grandmother got to read her book, “Through Mom’s Eyes” before their passing. “Obviously, my husband got sick and I was like ‘Forget this book’ and he was like, ‘Oh, no, no, no. Please keep writing,’” Sheinelle said. Adding, “So I promised him I would keep writing and now here I am 6 years later…He was able to read it, my grandmother who passed seven months later was able to read it.” Sheinelle also shared how the “Today” show family has been there to support one another through tough times, even now as Savannah Guthrie’s mom Nancy remains missing after being kidnapped in Arizona in February. “Sisterhood is so important and the mom village, when my husband was sick they were all there for me, in the trenches, behind the scenes, you guys didn’t see it but they were with me in the hospital, Hoda was there for me. Everyone was there for me by my side, so now if another sister has something, we do the same thing. We love hard.” Sheinelle’s book “Through Mom’s Eyes” is out now.
