Stephen Nedoroscik Compares ‘Dancing With The Stars’ To Olympics, Ilona Maher Reacts to Viral TikTok

America’s favorite Olympians have made it to the ballroom! Following the season premiere of “Dancing with the Stars” on Sept. 17, Access Hollywood’s Zuri Hall chatted with Stephen Nedoroscik and Ilona Maher, who are competing against each other. Stephen, who is paired with Rylee Arnold, explained to Access how the experience differs from the Olympics. “Well, it compares pretty similarly. You’re in front of a crowd with cameras, lots of people watching, so I was nervous. I use the same sort of techniques as I did in the Olympics,” the bronze medalist shared, adding, “Me and Riley both closed our eyes, went through some breathing exercises to slow our heart rate down. I told her, like, ‘Think positive thoughts – remember, you’ve earned being here. We have trained for this moment. We can do it.’” Meanwhile, rugby star Ilona Maher, who is partnered with Alan Bersten, reacted to her viral TikTok with Reese Witherspoon and Sheryl Lee Ralph that, as of that night, had surpassed 30 million views. The video was taken while the 28-year-old served as Access Hollywood’s digital guest correspondent at the Emmys. “I think it was just such a candid moment [and] those are the moments I do best for me,” she said adding, “I was afraid she wasn’t going to do it -sign it – but I was like, ‘Please, Reese, please!’ So, it was a fun moment.” “Dancing With the Stars” airs each week on Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. ET / 7 p.m on ABC.
