Amal Clooney Stuns In Glam Gown During Solo Cannes Film Festival Appearance

Amal Clooney always stuns on the red carpet. The 47-year-old human rights attorney and film producer stepped out for a solo appearance at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival. Amal hit the red carpet for the premiere of “Bono: Stories of Surrender” in a form fitting black, silk gown with off the shoulder straps and a train as she posed with Bono and The Edge. The lawyer wore her long brown hair down and paired the dress with long diamond earrings, but it was her short train that caught people’s attention. One day before the festival kicked off it announced its new dress code writing on its website, “Nudity is prohibited on the red carpet, as well as in any other area of the festival,” due to “decency reasons.” In addition it noted that, “voluminous outfits, in particular those with a large train, that hinder the proper flow of traffic of guests and complicate seating in the theater are not permitted.” Although Amal’s dress didn’t appear to be a major issue as she was able to walk the carpet and watch the film, other attendees have been turned away for breaking the dress code.
