Cannes 2025: Heidi Klum & More Stars Appear To Break Sudden Dress Code Change
The 2025 Cannes Film Festival is off to a fashionable start as always – but some stars are testing style boundaries in unexpected ways! This year’s event left some A-listers scrambling after a new dress code announced hours before opening night prohibited nudity and gowns with extensive volume or long trains. While Halle Berry revealed that she switched her look at the eleventh hour due to her original look’s long train, others appeared to go rogue. Heidi Klum stunned in a pink Elie Saab frock with eye-popping petal-like details that trailed far behind her on the red carpet, while QianHui Wan floated in a voluminous cloud-like number. For her part, a newly-blonde Bella Hadid kept her usual skin-baring Cannes aesthetic to a relative minimum but did share a pop of leg thanks to a thigh-high slit in her classic black satin dress. Many other famous attendees seemed to abide by the new guidelines as the festival progressed, with Heidi later opting for a fitted iridescent gown alongside husband Tom Kaulitz. Others, though, did toe the line with one stunning look after another, from Hayley Atwell’s billowing crimson gown to Eva Longoria’s shimmery green ensemble.
