Chris Brown Arrested & Charged In England In Connection With Alleged Assault At London Club In 2023

Chris Brown was arrested and charged in Manchester, England on May 15 in connection with an incident that allegedly took place in London two years ago, where he allegedly assaulted someone. The 36-year-old singer was charged with grievous bodily harm with intent following an investigation by the Metropolitan Police, law enforcement said in a press release. He was arrested Thursday morning, remains in police custody and will appear at a Manchester court on May 16, according to the release. Police claim the charges are in connection with an alleged assault that took place in Hanover Square in London on Feb. 19, 2023. Law enforcement didn’t provide additional details, but Brown was sued by music producer Abe Diaw in 2023. In the civil lawsuit, which was reportedly filed in Los Angeles and obtained by the Los Angeles Times and People Magazine, Diaw alleges Brown launched an unprovoked attack on him while they were at a nightclub.
