Cynthia Erivo Reveals What Hosting Advice James Corden Gave Her Ahead of Tony Awards

Access Hollywood spoke Cynthia Erivo ahead of her hosting duties at the upcoming Tony Awards on Sunday where she described how she is preparing for the evening. She shared that James Corden gave her some advice. Cynthia also squashed any speculation that Ariana Grande would be joining her at the upcoming award show but did tease what fans can expect with their upcoming film, “Wicked For Good.” “It’s definitely going to be different but I’m quite proud of the direction that we’ve gone in and you get to meet these women in a very different time in their life now,” Cynthia explained. Adding that, “[Elphaba is] in full ownership of the powers that she has and she’s experienced a bit more life now so you’re getting to meet her fully in her power and very grounded.” The Tony Awards air live on CBS at 8pm EST.
