Donald and Melania Trump Booed & Cheered By Audience at Kennedy Center’s ‘Les Misérables’

Donald Trump and Melania Trump received a mixed reaction as they attended the opening night of “Les Misérables’ at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. on Wednesday. The United States President and First Lady were greeted with both boos and cheers, according to video from inside the event. At one point, chants of “USA!” could be heard. Vice President JD Vance and his wife Usha Vance also joined the President as did other members of his administration. This was reportedly Trump’s first visit to the Kennedy Center. Earlier this year, he fired board members and replaced them with loyalists as he also appointed himself as chair. Several drag queens were in attendance Wednesday night to protest Trump, according to the Associated Press. Trump previously pledged to cut drag performances there in a Truth social post. The outlet additionally reported that during intermission someone loudly cursed his name and received applause.
