Donald Glover Reveals He Suffered A Stroke During His Childish Gambino Tour Last Year
Donald Glover is getting candid about his health. While performing at Tyler, The Creator’s Camp Flog Gnaw festival over the weekend, the rapper, who goes by the stage name Childish Gambino, revealed that he suffered a stroke last year, which forced him cancel his tour at the time. “Well, I had a really bad pain in my head in Louisiana, and I did the show anyway. I couldn’t really see well, so when we went to Houston, I went to the hospital and the doctor was like, ‘You had a stroke,’’ he told the audience. The 42-year-old went on to share that doctors “found a hole in my heart.” “So I had this surgery, and then I had to have another surgery. They say everybody has two lives, and the second life starts when you realize you have one. You got one life guys,” he added. In September 2024, the musician announced he was postponing the remaining North American dates of his “The New World” tour to “focus on his physical health for a few weeks.” A month later, he then cancelled the remainder of the tour.
