Ellen Pompeo Says ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Fans Will Be Shocked By Her Role as Natalia Grace’s Adoptive Mom
Access Hollywood’s Zuri Hall spoke to Ellen Pompeo about her upcoming role in Hulu’s “Good American Family” which is inspired by the real-life case of Natalia Grace that dominated the headlines. The series focuses on a Midwestern couple Kristine and Michael Barnett who adopt Natalia who they believe has dwarfism but later question her age and background that leads to a public battle. Ellen, who plays Kristine Barnett in the series, explained how different this role is compared to playing Meredith Grey for the last 20 seasons of “Grey’s Anatomy” and shared what she thinks fans will think. “I hope their shocked and I hope they love it,” she said. Ellen also revealed that her 15-year-old daughter has seen her mom starring in “Grey’s Anatomy,” saying, “She has so many judgements, none of them that I will say on television, but she has a lot to say, 15-year-olds have a lot of opinions and we want them to.” The first episode of “Good American Family” premiere on Hulu on March 19.
