Eric Dane, Sofia Vergara, Ayo Edebiri & More Celebs Absent From 2025 Emmys

While the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards were a star-studded affair, some celebrities skipped out on television’s biggest night. Eric Dane was set to reunite onstage with former co-star Jesse Williams and celebrate “Grey’s Anatomy,” but Dane missed the award show. The planned tribute didn’t occur, and Williams presented Directing for a Drama Series solo. Though it was not immediately clear why Dane missed his scheduled appearance, Deadline reports through sources that he pulled out “last minute.” The Emmys came five months after the actor revealed his ALS diagnosis in April. Access Hollywood has reached out to Dane’s representatives for comment. Plus, Sofia Vergara and Ayo Edebiri were also absent from the celebrations. “The Bear” actress, who received two nominations, had a scheduling conflict, as she is filming in Japan, per E! News, while the “Modern Family” alum, who was set to present, informed her Instagram followers she was in the ER for an eye allergy.
