Hulk Hogan’s Wife Sky Breaks Silence On Wrestling Icon’s Death At 71: ‘I Wasn’t Ready’

Hulk Hogan’s wife is sharing her sorrow over the wrestling icon’s recent death. Sky Hogan broke her silence on Hulk’s loss in an emotional Instagram post on July 25, one day after his management confirmed he’d passed away at age 71. Sky shared a loved-up selfie of the pair and reflected on her immediate grief in a heartfelt caption, noting that she didn’t expect his recent challenges to overtake him so soon. “I wasn’t ready for this…and my heart is in pieces,” she wrote. “He had been dealing with some health issues, but I truly believed we would overcome them. I had so much faith in his strength. I thought we still had more time.” Sky, who married Hulk in 2023, went on to note how his larger-than-life persona compared to the person he was behind-the-scenes with her. “This loss is sudden and impossible to process. To the world he was a legend… but to me, he was my Terry. The man I loved. My partner. My heart.” The former yoga instructor and mom of three also assured fans that “despite his growing physical discomfort,” Hulk “did everything he could to show up, sign autographs, take photos, and connect with the people who supported him through it all.” Sky was Hulk’s third wife. He was previously married to Jennifer McDaniel from 2010 to 2021 and Linda Hogan from 1983 to 2009, the latter of whom was the mother of his two kids, Brooke and Nick. The city of Clearwater, Fla., released a statement noting that police and fire personnel responded to a medical call for cardiac arrest at Hulk’s home. They said Hulk, born Terry Bollea, was treated by rescue crews on site before he was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead. The icon shot to wrestling fame in the 1980s and went on to win 12 total heavyweight championships, six with the WWE and another six with the WCW.
