Jennifer Lopez Reveals How She Addressed Ben Affleck Divorce With Twins Emme & Max

Jennifer Lopez’s twins Emme and Max always have her back. The 55-year-old singer spoke with Spanish newspaper, “El País,” ahead of her upcoming world tour and revealed how she told her 17-year-old twins about her divorce from Ben Affleck. “I said, ‘I promise you, this is a difficult time, but you’re going to see that I’ll come out the other side stronger and better.’ I promised them that and I did it. And they feel it now. That gives me a great sense of peace in my life,” she said. In 2024 JLO canceled her world tour, which was set to focus on the album that paid tribute to her love story with Ben. The two rekindled their romance years after calling off their engagement in 2002 and got married in Aug. 2022. The singer filed for divorce from the actor in Aug. 2024 and they finalized their divorce in January. When reflecting on her past year and how she’s doing now, she told the outlet she’s “happier.” “I’m proud of myself for that and I’m proud that I was able to navigate my children through difficult times, that they’re stronger and better because of it,” she added.
