Justin Baldoni’s $400 Million Countersuit Against Blake Lively & Ryan Reynolds Officially Dismissed
Justin Baldoni’s $400 million countersuit against Blake Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds has officially been dismissed, according to court documents obtained by Access Hollywood. On Friday, Oct. 31, U.S. District Court Judge Lewis J. Liman issued an order detailing that since Baldoni had missed the deadline to appeal his previously dismissed case, the defamation suit has now been tossed out. The order also noted that the court previously directed the “parties to show cause why final judgement should not be entered in this case” on Oct. 17. Lively’s legal team was the only one to respond, per the court docs. News of Baldoni’s dismissal initially broke in June, as Judge Liman granted a motion to dismiss the countersuit; however, Baldoni’s legal team was also granted time to file an amended complaint. The actor’s $250 million libel suit against the New York Times was also dismissed that same month.
