Nick Reiner Arraignment Shocker As Attorney Alan Jackson Withdraws From Murder Case
The Nick Reiner case saw a shocking twist as the son of the late Rob and Michele Reiner made his second appearance in court on Jan. 7. Nearly a month since the couple’s tragic killings, their son was to be arraigned on murder charges related to their deaths – before his lawyer suddenly walked away from the case. Gasps could be heard in the courtroom in reaction to attorney Alan Jackson’s bombshell announcement that he was withdrawing, and he later claimed to reporters that Reiner is “not guilty.” NBC legal analyst Misty Marris explains why the defense moving forward could be pursuing a not guilty by reason of insanity plea. Reiner’s rescheduled arraignment is set for Feb. 23.
