Nicole Kidman Opens Vogue World Channeling Old Hollywood Glam Amid Split From Kieth Urban
Nicole Kidman is taking center stage! On Oct. 26, the Academy Award winner opened Vogue World: Hollywood at the Paramount Pictures Studios Lot, kicking things off backstage to “Put the Blame on Mame” – a song performed by Rita Hayworth as the titular character in the 1946 film noir “Gilda.” The actress then entered the runway, strutting her stuff in a Chanel by Matthieu Blazy black satin gown which payed homage to the black dress Hayworth wore in “Gilda” during her performance scene. Kidman completed her Old Hollywood look with a similar hairstyle to Hayworth’s from the film as well as bold makeup, including a classic red lip, and a diamond necklace. Access Hollywood chatted with longtime Vogue Editor-In-Chief Anna Wintour ahead of the event in which she shared why “The Big Little Lies” star was a perfect addition to the show. “I think number one on our list was Nicole, so we’re very thrilled that she is coming, that she’s going to be seen by hundreds of millions of people on the live stream and so grateful to her on the hard work and time that she’s put into Vogue World: Hollywood,” Wintour said in part.
