‘RHOSLC’ Star Mary Cosby Speaks Out After Son Robert Jr.’s Death
Mary Cosby is speaking out after news broke of her son, Robert Jr.’s, passing. He was 23. On Wednesday, Feb. 25, the “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” star issued a statement to her Instagram, writing, “Our beloved son Robert Jr. has been called home to the Lord. Though our hearts ache, we take comfort in God’s promise and in knowing he is finally at peace. We are grateful for your prayers and trust in the Lord to carry us through this time of sorrow.” Many fellow Bravo stars and other celebrities, including Julia Fox and “Real Housewives of Potomac” star Wendy Osefo, sent Cosby condolences under her post. Salt Lake City police additionally confirmed his passing to Access Hollywood as they noted that the cause of death has still yet to be confirmed. “At 6:14 p.m. on February 23rd officers responded to a possible overdose at 302 Oak Hills Ln. Once on scene officers found 23-year-old Robert Cosby Jr. had died. The medical examiner is investigating the cause of death. The case remains an open investigation,” their statement to Access read. Cosby had revealed her son’s struggles with addiction in recent seasons of the reality show. During a reunion episode from the latest season, she shared an emotional update on Robert, revealing that he was in jail at the time for violating a restraining order against his ex-wife. “But I’m happy. I’m in a good place. I’m not worried about him. I know he’s somewhere where he’s not using,” she said in part.
