Rumer Willis Reveals How She Adopted Her Horse Moose From ‘Trail of Vengeance’ Set

Rumer Willis is dishing all about her upcoming feature “Trail of Vengeance” – including how she took home her beloved horse, Moose! Speaking to Access Hollywood, the actress shared that she fell in love with Moose. “I got to set, and they were going to put me on this other horse, and I had ridden Moose one day to try it out, and I just, I begged them. I was like, ‘Look, I really need this to be my horse in the movie. I love him, I feel really comfortable,'” she began before explaining that she developed a strong connection to him. “And after the first couple of weeks, I kept talking to the wranglers and I was like, ‘Guys, can we talk to them? I think I need to bring Moose home with me.’ I can’t imagine not having a relationship with his horse. So, I bought him,” she revealed. The daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore also shared how much preparation went into her action-packed role. “I was definitely a little nervous because I have really high standards for myself, right? Just that I set internally,” she said, adding that she trained with a stunt coordinator and an armorer. “They were real guns – some of them weren’t even replicas. And they were heavy, heavy, heavy, heavy. So, we’re toting these things around. I’m trying to figure out how to, you know, load it and also make sure everybody’s safe. So, it was a lot to manage. But also, I love a challenge,” Willis shared, noting that some of the guns were from the Civil War. The 36-year-old also gave a welcome update on her dad, who was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia, and revealed what their hopeful plans for Father’s Day are. Plus, she reflected on her mom’s recent award season accolades and how proud she felt to see the icon receive such high acclaim after decades in Hollywood.
