Smokey Robinson Accused Of Sexual Assault By 4 Housekeepers In Civil Lawsuit

Motown legend Smokey Robinson has been accused of sexual assault. The singer is facing a civil lawsuit filed by four housekeepers, who allege the 85-year-old repeatedly violated them and one claimed the abuse started nearly 20 years ago. The lawsuit was filed on May 6 in Los Angeles and alleges that the assaults took place at his home. The plaintiffs, identified in the complaint as Jane Does 1-4, are asking for $50 million in damages, according to the court documents. Smokey reportedly spoke briefly with the Daily Mail and said he is “appalled” by the sexual abuse accusations and added, “I can’t speak about this right now.” So far, no criminal charges have been filed. Access Hollywood has reached out to the Robinsons for comment but have not heard back.
