Three years after the debut of “Top Gun: Maverick,” Tom Cruise is back at the Cannes Film Festival! On Wednesday, May 14, the Oscar-nominee returned to the film festival for the premiere of “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning.” Ahead of the screening, the actor posed on the red carpet alongside his costars, including Angela Bassett, Hayley Atwell, and Pom Klementieff, as well as the film’s director, Christopher McQuarrie. The cast was even spotted taking group selfies together before going inside. Following the premiere of the action-packed thriller, Cruise received an over 5-minute standing ovation, particularly for his exceptional stunts, according to reports. The Hollywood icon’s last appearance at Cannes was in 2022 when “Top Gun: Maverick” was screened. During the 2022 festival, Cruise was also presented with an honorary Palme d’Or.
