Why Ashlee Simpson Is Doing A Las Vegas Residency Now: ‘You Can Be An Artist and Be A Family Woman’

Access Hollywood’s Scott Evans spoke to Ashlee Simpson about her upcoming Las Vegas residency and what it’s like balancing her three kids along with returning to her music roots after taking a break to focus on her family. She also revealed that she believes her children will work in the music industry, “This summer [Bronx] is like working a music job, he’s helping A&R and I feel like he’ll definitely be there. Jagger is definitely like, ‘Move over.’ I feel like Ziggy too, he’s been singing a lot so I’m excited to see where he will go.” Ashlee also candidly spoke about her relationship with mother-in-law Diana Ross and how she inspires her to focus on family while juggling a career. “That’s where I fully look up to her. It’s always prioritizing your family first. For me, it’s getting back into this and being inspired by her throughout that, it’s exciting. You can be an artist and be a family woman as well.” Ashlee Simpson kicks off her Las Vegas residency, “I Am Me” on Friday, August 29th at the Voltaire inside The Venetian.
