Why Morgan Wallen Abruptly Walked Off ‘SNL’ Stage During End Credits (Report)
Morgan Wallen’s abrupt walk-off from the “Saturday Night Live” stage appears to have been a simple misunderstanding. The singer, who was the musical guest for the March 29 episode of the late-night sketch series alongside host Mikey Madison, made headlines after he bolted from the stage as credits began to roll, leaving the crew and cast who were still there. Shortly after, the country star uploaded a picture of a private jet on his Instagram story alongside the text, “Get me to God’s country.” Wallen’s departure and post led people on social media to speculate if he had an issue with the show. However, according to sources close to the singer who spoke with Variety, the 31-year-old had enjoyed his time at “SNL” and did not intend to slight anyone with his exit or social media post. Plus, the report noted that Wallen had practiced exiting and entering the same way during camera blocking and rehearsal and wasn’t thinking he’d still be on camera when he left the stage. Access Hollywood has reached out to the singer’s representatives for comment.
