Will Smith’s Fart Caused ‘Men In Black’ Set To Evacuate For 3 Hours, Director Reveals

“Men In Black” director Barry Sonnenfeld is recalling how one of Will Smith’s farts cleared the set during filming. The film director shared the story during the Oct. 2nd episode of the “Let’s Talk Off Camera With Kelly Ripa” podcast. “Will Smith is a farter. It’s just some people are…We evacuated the stage for about three hours, and that’s incredible. He’s a lovely guy, just he farts. Some do, some don’t,” said Sonnenfeld. The moment happened while Smith and costar Tommy Lee Jones filmed in a confined space meant to be the inside of a car. “You really don’t want to be inside a very small, hermetically sealed space with a Will Smith fart,” says the film director.
