Aubrey O’Day Confirms She Will Not Testify In Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ Trial: ‘FAKE Headlines’
Aubrey O’Day is setting the record straight. On May 18, the singer took to Instagram to slam headlines that said she would be testifying in the trial of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs as she announced that she will be providing commentary on the trial. “Hi my loves, I was approached by @ajrobach @officialtjholmes and @iheartradio to cover the Diddy trial. The intention for this platform is to give you an up close & personal understanding of what was going on, from a perspective only someone that was there in it all could relay to you,” she began before noting, “There have been multiple FAKE headlines put out this past week about me testifying without anyone contacting me or my lawyer to confirm (which is defamation), and it was a reminder to me as to why this platform is so important.” She added, “If I was subpoenaed to testify TO THESE CHARGES, I would absolutely show up because it’s the law, first… second, because I want and deserve justice as well.” Though the 41-year-old stated that she is not testifying, she did claim in the first episode of “iHeart Radio’s Amy Robach & T.J. Holmes Present: Aubrey O’Day, Covering the Diddy Trial” podcast that she was contacted by Homeland Security and had a meeting with them. Combs has pleaded not guilty to all charges against him.
