‘Clueless’ Turns 30: Alicia Silverstone & Cast Reveal How Their Kids Reacted To Seeing It For The First Time

As if we can believe “Clueless” is 30 years old! The teen comedy classic may have premiered back in 1995, but its legacy lives on. Stars Alicia Silverstone, Breckin Meyer and Elisa Donovan, along with director Amy Heckerling and costume designer Mona May, celebrated the milestone while chatting with Access Hollywood at the Academy Museum’s anniversary screening. The group reflects on their film’s lasting impact, including how their kids reacted to seeing it for the first time! Alicia also remembers her characters’ iconic fashion, and she and her co-stars pay tribute to the memory of late castmate Brittany Murphy. The “Clueless” 30th anniversary screening on June 7 kicked off the Academy Musem’s “Teen Movie Madness!” limited film series, which is programmed in collaboration with the Academy Museum’s Teen Council. The Academy Museum has also announced their 2026 exhibitions. Be on the lookout for Studio Ghibli’s PONYO, Marilyn Monroe: Hollywood Icon, and Hidden Worlds: The Films of LAIKA.
