Both actors told Access Hollywood how the story impacted their perspectives when it came to their own kids, and Dakota shared that playing a mom in the series connected to her real-life desire to have a family one day. Dakota also reacted to her 2005 sci-fi epic “War of the Worlds” turning 20 this year and recalled working with legends Steven Spielberg and Tom Cruise when she was just 11.
