Elon Musk Says He ‘Regrets’ Some Of His Donald Trump Posts After Explosive Feud
Elon Musk is walking back his criticism of President Donald Trump days after the pair’s explosive social media feud. On June 11, the Tesla and SpaceX billionaire revealed that he “regrets some” of his recent barbs about Trump, saying in a post on X that he “went too far.” Musk did not specify to which of his previous statements he was referring, but the move follows his and Trump’s public fallout that stemmed from their disagreement about the president’s “Big, Beautiful Bill.” Musk called the legislation “a disgusting abomination” and later shared his belief that Trump would have lost the election without him, prompting Trump to suggest the government could cut its federal contracts with Musk’s companies. Musk had also unleashed a series of now-deleted posts including one that claimed without evidence that Trump is “in the Epstein files.” The President has consistently denied any involvement in late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein’s criminal behavior. Shortly after Musk’s mea culpa, the New York Post dropped a pre-taped interview with Trump in which he acknowledged his possible willingness to reconcile with Musk despite being “disappointed” in his remarks.
