Erika Kirk Reveals She Was Praying To Be Pregnant With Third Child When Charlie Kirk Was Killed

Erika Kirk is opening up about her motherhood vision in the midst of husband Charlie Kirk’s assassination. The Turning Point USA CEO shared on Megyn Kelly’s SiriusXM radio channel that she was praying to be pregnant with her and Charlie’s third child after the right-wing activist was fatally shot in September. In an excerpt from the interview shared on Nov. 24, Erika explained that she and Charlie had been planning for four kids and why she was holding onto hope that their family could still grow. “I was like, ‘Oh goodness, that would be the ultimate blessing out of this catastrophe,'” the 36-year-old said. Erika is mom to her and Charlie’s two young kids, a 3-year-old daughter and a 1-year-old son, and she noted that losing her husband has inspired her to tell others with similar dreams of having big families not to hold out. “Now when I see young couples, I tell them, ‘Please, like don’t put it off,’ especially if you’re a young woman, don’t put it off,” she said. “You can always have a career. You can always go back to work. You can never just go back to having children, and they grow so fast and so quickly.” Erika went on to share gratitude for both of her and Charlie’s little ones and shared how she talks to both of them about keeping their dad’s memory alive through her belief in the afterlife. The former Miss Arizona USA’s latest remarks come more than two months after Charlie killed during a speaking engagement at Utah Valley University, where he was debating students on campus as part of his “America Comeback Tour.” The 31-year-old was a divisive figure whose controversial rhetoric drew intense support and backlash.
