Kimberly Van Der Beek is opening up about dealing with the loss of her late husband, James Van Der Beek, three months after his death. On May 12, the mother of six shared an emotional tribute on Instagram to mark the anniversary, writing “to say I’m heartbroken is a severe understatement.” The post featured a carousel of nine photos in which James, who died at age 48 on February 11 after his years-long journey with stage 3 colorectal cancer, can be seen alongside Kimberly and the couple’s children. His close friend, Alfonso Ribeiro, also opened up to Access Hollywood at the Disney Upfronts about being by James’ side in his final days.
