Kate Middleton Draws Large Crowds In Italy During First International Trip Since Cancer Diagnosis

Kate Middleton is receiving a warm welcome in Italy! On May 13, the Princess of Wales touched down in the northern city of Reggio Emilia, marking her first international trip since announcing her cancer diagnosis in 2024. As she stepped out in the town’s central square, she was greeted by mayor, Marco Massari, as well as thousands of people, some of whom reportedly waited hours for her arrival. The 44-year-old interacted with the crowd, taking selfies and shaking hands. At one point, she knelt down to chat with children and even shared a sweet moment meeting a baby. Kate’s visit will focus on exploring early child development approaches as The Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood expands internationally.
