Jimmy Kimmel, Seth Meyers, John Oliver, & Jimmy Fallon Join Stephen Colbert Ahead of His Final Show
Stephen Colbert reunited with Jimmy Kimmel, Seth Meyers, John Oliver, and Jimmy Fallon – aka “Strike Force Five” – ahead of his final show. On Monday, May 11, the late-night hosts were guests on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” showing up to support to their friend as the franchise is scheduled to end next week after over 30 years on the air. During the episode, Kimmel explained how “Strike Force Five” – a 2023 limited series podcast launched by the five comedians during the Writer’s Guild of America strike – came to be. “Strike Force Five is and always will be a group of five individuals who went on strike along with their writers, who were paying their writers,” Kimmel shared, adding, “So, they did a podcast that paid a tiny little portion of that. We did 12 episodes – it was very successful.” The five hosts also joked about Jon Stewart’s absence on Monday night’s episode, calling him the “designated survivor.” Plus, the comedians discussed the state of late-night TV and reacted to how President Trump is a vocal critic of their shows.
