‘Love & Hip Hop’ Star Masika Kalysha Speaks Out After Ex Jamar Champ Is Killed In Car Crash
Masika Kalysha is mourning the loss of her estranged husband Jamar Champ, who was killed in a wrong-way car crash on Oct. 28. “It is with profound sadness that I confirm the news of the tragic and unexpected passing of my spouse and father of my beautiful daughters, Jamar Champ,” the “Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood” alum said in a statement to the Shade Room on Oct. 28. “During this incredibly challenging time, I kindly ask for respect and understanding as our family comes together to support one another and honor his memory. Your thoughts, prayers and love mean the world to us as we navigate this devastating loss,” she added. The reality star shares 3-year-old daughter Amari with Champ and is she is also mom to 9-year-old Khari with rapper Fetty Wap. Her statement came shortly after the Houston Police Department confirmed two people died in wrong-way car crash that took place at 12:05 a.m. on Oct. 28. The incident happened after a silver BMW was traveling the wrong way on the freeway and ultimately hit a silver Tesla Cybertruck head on, according to a press release. The impact caused the BMW to catch on fire and sent the Cybertruck into a nearby semi. Houston station KHOU 11 later reported that 38-year-old Champ was driving the Cybertruck.
