Mikaela Shiffrin Drops F-Bomb On ‘Today’ Show While Reflecting On Olympics Gold Medal Win

Mikaela Shiffrin had a memorable appearance on the “Today” show! The 30-year-old skier made a virtual visit to the morning show on Feb. 19 following her epic win in women’s slalom at the 2026 Milan-Cortina Olympics and dropped a few expletives during her live interview! The unexpected slip-up happened while she was reflecting on an emotional moment she had while talking to her late father at the top of the mountain just moments before her race. “There’s been, definitely, a spiritual journey I’ve been on the last year. I just, I don’t know, I took a moment and I said… f—ing s—!” she said, quickly covering her mouth with her hands and adding, “Oh my God, I’m so sorry.” Co-hosts Carson Daly, Hoda Kotb and Craig Melvin shared a a laugh over the unfiltered moment and reassured Mikaela, teasing that they’ll pay the FCC Broadcasting fine for the curse words that aired. The 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics air through Feb. 22 on NBC and Peacock.
