Sabrina Carpenter Addresses ‘Man’s Best Friend’ Album Cover Backlash on ‘SNL’ After Domingo Cold Open
Live from New York, it’s Sabrina Carpenter! The singer served as both host and musical guest for the Oct. 18 episode of “Saturday Night Live,” kicking things off with the fan-favorite reoccurring Domingo sketch for the show’s cold open. Plus, in her monologue, the pop star jokingly addressed the controversy around her “Man’s Best Friend” album cover. “Some people got a little freaked out by the cover. I’m not sure why? It was just this: me on all fours, with an unseen figure pulling my hair. But what people don’t realize is that’s just how they cropped it,” she began, adding, “If you zoom out, it’s clearly a picture from the 50th anniversary special of Bowen [Yang] helping me up by the hair, after Martin Short shoved me out of the buffet line, saying something like, ‘Daddy need his mini quiche.’”
