Patrick Muldoon’s cause of death has been revealed following the actor’s passing on April 19 at the age of 57. According to a death certificate released by the County of Los Angeles’ Department of Public Health, the “Melrose Place” alum died of myocardial infarction, otherwise known as a heart attack. The certificate, obtained by People, also revealed several underlying causes of death, including hereditary coagulopathy disorder, a condition that impairs the body’s ability to form blood clots, and pulmonary embolism, which the Cleveland Clinic defines as a blood clot that travels to the lungs and blocks blood flow.
