Jenna Bush Hager Reveals How Daughter Mila’s Comment Made Her Change Introduction for Queen Camilla

Jenna Bush Hager is sharing just how influential kids can be! During the April 30 episode of “Today with Jenna & Sheinelle,” the TV personality revealed how her teenage daughter Mila’s constructive criticism made her rewrite an introduction she had planned for Queen Camilla ahead of an event hosted at the New York Public Library. “It was a lot on my plate. So, Mila and I practiced the introduction. And Mila actually said, she goes, first she goes, ‘You’re talking too much about yourself. You’re talking about yourself,’ and, by the way, I woke up at 4:00 in the morning yesterday and I changed the introduction,” Bush Hager revealed, adding that Mila also told her that her “hair needed some work.” The “Today” co-host went on to share a sweet moment between herself and the 13-year-old, saying Mila texted that she was “proud” of her mom after her interview with the Queen. “And she’s never said that to me before. I know. So, I feel good about it,” Bush Hager added. Earlier in the conversation with Sheinelle, the daughter of former President George W. Bush reflected on when she first met Queen Camilla, who at the time was known as Duchess of Cornwall, during a state dinner in 2005 when her father was in office, noting how she brought her then-boyfriend of six months, who is now her husband, Henry. In addition to Mila, the couple share 10-year-old daughter Poppy and 6-year-old son Hal.
