Katharine McPhee Serenades Spencer Pratt While Hosting Fundraiser For His Los Angeles Mayor Campaign

Katharine McPhee and David Foster are throwing their support behind Spencer Pratt for Los Angeles mayor. The couple recently threw a lavish fundraiser for the former “Hills” star at their home, during which McPhee performed a rendition of Tina Turner’s hit “The Best” with updated lyrics to include Pratt’s opponents, current LA mayor Karen Bass and city councilmember Nithya Raman. In footage uploaded by One America News Network anchor Alicia Summers, McPhee is seen singing to the crowd, “Spencer – you’re simply the best. Better than all the rest. Better than Karen Bass and Nithya Raman.” In another clip, Pratt can be seen sitting behind McPhee as she performs, though she quickly pauses due to mixing up Nithya’s name to “Cynthia.” “I called her Cynthia,” McPhee says to Pratt who shrugs his shoulders in response. “You know the tide is turning in California when @DavidFoster and @katharinefoster open their home and write a song for @SpencerPratt La La Land is ready for a plot twist,” the OANN anchor captioned her post. Pratt and Foster have been acquainted for many years through Brody Jenner, who used to be Foster’s stepson when he was married to Jenner’s mom Linda Thompson from 1991 to 2005. Pratt and Jenner both starred on “The Hills,” and have been friends since they were teenagers.
