Liverpool soccer star Diogo Jota has died in a car crash alongside his younger brother. Jota was 28 while his brother, André Silva, also a professional soccer player, was 25. The tragedy occurred July 3 in northwestern Spain, just over a week after the Portuguese forward married his longtime partner, Rute Cardoso, with whom shares three children, on June 22. Police revealed that the incident took place around 12:30 a.m. local time when the Lamborghini the siblings were driving veered off the road, according to a Sky News report. “A vehicle left the road and everything indicates a tire burst while overtaking.
