Vin Diesel Shuts Down Dwayne Johnson Feud By Praising Him In ‘The Smashing Machine’

There’s no bad blood between Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson! The “Fast & Furious” star praised his co-star’s new movie, “The Smashing Machine,” in a heartfelt Instagram post shared on Nov. 25 writing, “One of the greatest gifts in life isn’t something you can buy, it’s the relationships forged along the way. I wanted to take a moment to talk about “The Smashing Machine.” Vin went to share an anecdote about Mark Kerr, whom Dwayne plays in the film, before praising the former WWE wrestler. “And let me celebrate Dwayne. People don’t understand what it takes to uphold a global perception every single day,” he wrote. “I remember asking our global family who they’d love to see me work with, and a woman named Jan left a comment saying her dream was for me to collaborate with Dwayne,” he continued. “What followed became one of the most dynamic pairings in cinema, two strong personalities who pushed each other and created something unforgettable,” he wrote. Vin is referring to the “Fast & Furious” franchise which Dwayne famously joined in 2011 when he took on the role of Luke Hobbs in “Fast Five.” He went on to co-star along Vin in four sequels that followed including the 2019 spinoff movie Hobbs & Shaw. Their turbulent history started when they butted heads during filming for the “Fast & Furious” franchise in 2016.
