Justin Bieber Supports Chris Brown After UK Arrest & Release On Bail: ‘Welcome Home’
Justin Bieber is sharing a message of support for Chris Brown amid the R&B singer’s latest legal trouble. Brown was released on bail on May 21 after spending more than a week in custody following an arrest in Manchester, England in connection with an alleged 2023 London assault. Brown appeared to celebrate his freedom with an Instagram caption the following day that read, “Cook, remain humble” alongside a red heart emoji. Bieber liked the post and offered a “welcome home” note in the comment section. The superstars have a long professional history, collaborating on multiple tracks dating back to 2011. Bieber has publicly honored his personal bond with Brown over the years as well, defending his legacy in a 2019 Instagram tribute that declared the “No Guidance” artist a combination of Michael Jackson and Tupac Shakur. “Everyone wants to wait til people die to give them the credit they deserve. I’m calling it now when CB passes away after a long full life, you will miss what you had in front of you the whole time. Trust me watch you will see. The people who have over looked this man’s talent … you need to reevaluate!” Bieber wrote at the time. Brown’s repeated run-ins with the law over the years have made him a controversial figure throughout his career. According to the BBC, he was initially denied bail after his latest arrest but later granted release on the condition he pay a security fee to ensure he appears at his next court date, set for June 20. He was charged with grievous bodily harm and has not yet entered a plea, the BBC reports. Access Hollywood has reached out to Brown for comment.
