‘Today’ Co-Host Sheinelle Jones’ Husband Dead at 45 From Brain Cancer
On May 23, the ‘Today’ co-hosts gathered to announce that Sheinelle Jones’ husband Uche Ojeh, 45, had passed away after battling Glioblastoma, which is described by the American Association of Neurological Surgeons as “a fast-growing and aggressive” brain cancer. Savannah Guthrie, Craig Melvin, Al Roker, Carson Daly, Dylan Dreyer, and Jenna Bush Hager struggled to hold back their emotions as they shared their condolences for the loss to Sheinelle’s family. The 47-year-old ‘Today’ co-host was married to Uche for 17 years, and they shared 3 children: 15-year-old Kayin, and 12-year-old fraternal twins, Clara and Uche. Sheinelle stepped away from the morning show’s desk in December 2024 to “deal with a family health matter,” as she described it on Instagram. She’s been a staple of the program since 2014.
